At the same time, William the Conqueror was landing in England to become king, and the wine-growing activity in the commune of St Léger les Vignes seemed to have only just begun in the 11th century.
It was in 1180 that it developed since its wine was then chosen by the Bishop of Nantes to supply mass wine to the Notre Dame de Buzay abbey, founded by Bernard de Clairvaux, and the Villeneuve abbey.
Nine centuries later, Domaine Les Hautes Noëlles holds high the colours of this vineyard and its history over time.
A family property created in the 1930s, it is located approximately 15 kilometers southwest of Nantes , on the shores of Lake Grandlieu , the largest natural lake in France.
The Atlantic Ocean is only 30km away and often lets its offshore breezes come to us.
A new step was taken in 2020 with the acquisition of the estate by us, Juliane and Jean-Gabriel
Today, we fervently care for 20 hectares of vines that we cultivate exclusively according to the rules of organic farming.
