Owned by the MONIER family since 1809, the estate comprises a single vineyard in the commune of Uchaux and a parcel of vines in the commune of Sérignan du Comtat, all surrounded by wooded hills and fragrant garrigue.
This authentic wine estate, located away from the main roads, has been producing bottled wines renowned for their finesse and consistency since 1961. The vineyard was classified in 2005 as part of the new AOP MASSIF d'UCHAUX Côtes du Rhône Villages and converted to organic farming in 2006.
The stony soil of quartz limestone and yellow sandstone, the low yields and the natural environment all contribute to the personality, finesse, elegance and ageing potential of the Château Saint Estève d'Uchaux wines.
Florestan, an oenologist representing the 8th generation of the Monier de Saint Estève - Français family, is now responsible for developing the wine estate.
